The cabin was charming, warm and cozy. A perfect place to relax and shut out the busyness of life. We loved the hiking trails and explored every inch of them with our dog in the two days we were there. So many wonderful outdoor amenities…hot tub, kayaks and canoe, pond for fishing (which we did), fire pit. The cabin was lovely- we had the fireplace on most of the time, loved the various porches overlooking the beautiful countryside, beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had all the things you need to make and serve a meal. We will definitely be back!

The cabin is great! Nice grill to use, we didn’t use the hot tub, but it looked clean. The trails are great to have access to, and provide many different views of the property.

Our family just had another great weekend at Lorelei. This is our 6th year in a row renting both cabins and it was still the same relaxing enjoyable time sitting around the campfire, cooking feasts, and fishing in the pond for our annual last night fish fry. :) Our grandsons have gone from 2 year olds toddling around, to 8 year old boys enjoying the pond, cooking smores and visiting the barn to play games. Totally recommend it.

The property is beautiful, the hosts are friendly and responsive. A very relaxing get away. We will definitely be returning!

What a wonderful cabin! SO clean! Great communication from Laura. We were only there for a couple of nights, but we'd actually like to stay longer next time. It's so peaceful and secluded, yet only 10 minutes from downtown Dubuque. There's really no reason to stay anywhere else when visiting Dubuque!

"We decided to book a cabin at the last minute to have a short anniversary getaway. What a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings. We loved it all: walking the nicely kept trails to take in the gorgeous views, kayaking on the pond, sitting around the fire pit, and enjoying the hot tub. We didn’t spend much time inside the cabin but found it fully stocked with anything you’d need. I fell in love with the screened-in porch overlooking the pond. Loved having coffee while watching the sun come up over the pond. Laura and Jim were responsive but we had total privacy. Thank you for a wonderful getaway! Would love to come back someday with our kids."

“My husband and I were in town for a funeral and were able to stay at the Lorelei for a few days. It was just what we needed to get us through a difficult time. The hot tub and the whirlpool tub soothed our bodies, and the quiet and peaceful location soothed our souls. The cabin is beautifully decorated and the layout is roomy. We are already planning to return in warmer weather to take advantage of the patios and decks and barbecue, plus the hiking is awesome. A fabulous setting. It is hard to believe that a place like this exists after coming from busy southern California. The owners are great!”
